My name is Jon Cathcart and I am representing my family in requesting your support for the Look for the Signs Wiffle Ball Tournament in Memory of our mother Joan A. Cathcart.
Last year more than 300 people of all ages participated in the Inaugural “Look for the Signs” Wiffle Ball Tournament, sponsored by Holman Lincoln Mercury.
The event, which raised $15,000, was in memory of Joan A. Cathcart who lost her life to ovarian cancer. In January 2006 at 61 years of age she was diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer after showing no previous signs of being ill. She succumbed to complications just 38 days after her diagnosis. All proceeds from the event benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC).
This year’s tournament will be held on Sunday September 14th at Campbell’s Field, Home of the Camden Riversharks.
The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition's mission is to improve the lives of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer as well as promote research, raise awareness and promote education about Ovarian Cancer.
